Looking Back: Thanksgiving 2015

 Thanksgiving is always one of my favorites! Family, amazing food, and a sometimes needed reminder to stop and take inventory of all that we have been blessed with. We were able to spend time with all of our families and we soaked up every minute. It was extra special this year watching our new nephew, Maverick. We were able to catch the light parade in Chamberlain and then head back to Grandma & Grandpa Dominiack's in time to watch Home Alone with Liam for the first time. It ended up being the first of many times over the holiday season. Precious memories!

Looking Back: Halloween

Liam had big ideas for Halloween 2015. He had been loving "The Wizard of Oz" and we were watching it as often as he could talk us into it. (Which didn't take much convincing, since it is one of my all time favorites!) But upon letting us know he wanted to be the scarecrow, he further informed us that he wanted me to dress up as Dorothy and Daddy to dress up as the Wizard. 

And so we did! 

And we had a blast! 

I couldn't have ever dreamed I would one day have a son who wanted to go as Wizard of Oz characters for Halloween, let alone want me to go with as Dorothy.

God has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams with this little man.

Welcome Back

I feel like it has been FOREVER since I have blogged. Truth be told, it makes me crazy to think of things I wanted to blog about and didn't get to yet; which overwhelms me and then I just keep putting it off. So lately what have we been up to? 

Mainly, finishing our basement. My man has put in SO much hard work. And it is coming together beautifully. I'm so thankful and proud. 

Secondly, my little dude has been taking ALL my time. When it wears me out or makes me a little crazy, I remember he won't want/need me literally every second of the day much longer. Which then makes me so sad, oh the crazy emotions of parenthood! He has become quite the artist lately. We have super hero drawings covering most of our house. It is fabulous. 

We are busy, thankful, and just adoring the chance to do this crazy life thing together. This year, more than ever I am feeling the draw of running head first, full speed to God and clinging to him as we love each other, love others, and love Him in whatever ways he draws us too in 2016. 

Turner County Fair 2015

It's hard to believe this was Liam's 4th fair. The week started out unusually cold, but warmed up and was gorgeous by the end of the week. Liam got to spend time with friends and family all week. And of course, a lot of amazing food was enjoyed. This was the first year we took Liam for wrist band days, where you can enjoy rides unlimited times with your band. Daddy got a wrist band and went with him. I joined them for the ferris wheel. Liam could have done it for days, Mom and Dad were wore out after the afternoon was over. We also went to the Figure 8 races, for the first time as a family. Liam was in heaven. We love our Turner County Fair! 

Liam's 1st Day: Preschool

On Septemeber 9th, Liam started preschool. I'm completely confused at how this is possible. He was so excited to go and still is. He has his occasional moments were he asks to stay home because he will miss us too much. But once he gets there, he loves it. We hear often, how polite and sweet he is. We are glad he chooses to act that way for others, since at age 3 we are seeing a whole lot of that fabulous 3 year old attitude at home. 

Liam loves his teachers and friends. He tells us lots of fun stories about what he does at school. He only goes for 2 hours, 2 days a week; but I miss him like crazy and love to see him when I pick him up. I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy those hours I have to get things caught up or sit at the coffee shop though. 

Being Liam's mama is hands down the best job ever. And I just adore watching him grow and learn. I'm so proud of how brave and smart you are buddy! I know this year is going to be awesome. We love you!

Minions

On August 4th, we took Liam to his very first movie. The Minions movie. When we went in to sit down he seemed a little nervous. And he was definitely not sure about the theatre seats. But once the Minions came out and the previews started he was mesmerized. And then Daddy brought in the popcorn and M&Ms and he was in heaven. Now he is all ready for the movie he has been talking about for a year, The Peanuts Movie. He is so excited to go and see it, "when it gets cold outside" as he says. He also stayed through all of the credits at the end, and danced his heart out. Happy memories!
